The Ultimate Uttarakhand Himalayan MTB Challenge 2017 – 3rd Edition
Department of Tourism, Govt. of Uttarakhand in association with Cycling Federation of India is organizing 3rd edition of The Ultimate Uttarakhand Himalayan MTB Challenge, a premier mountain biking cycling event, from 8th to 16th April 2017.
The Nine days event will have seven biking days covering altogether 884 Kms of Ultimate ride across ten districts of Uttarakhand namely – Nainital, Almora, Champawat, Pithoragarh, Bageshwar, Chamoli, Rudraprayag, Tehri, Uttarkashi & Dehradun. This race will be among one of the longest MTB races in Asia.The race will have seven stages, while keeping a day off as rest day at Karnaprayag before the last four legs. Starting from the beautiful lake town of Nainital on 8th April 2017.
• A qualifying race will be organized at Nainital on 7th April 2017 for final short listing of top 50 elite riders for the main event.
• The boarding, lodging and local transportation will be provided by the organizers.
• No entry fee will be charged from the participants.
• There will be prizes for each of the six stages of the event and overall race prize.The registration for the event can be done at Cycling Federation of India website: www.cyclingfederationofindia.org
Eligibility Criteria
Eligibility for Participation in "The Ultimate Uttarakhand Himalayan MTB Challenge-2017, 3rd Edition" (8th to 16th April 2017)
• Valid rider license issued by Cycling Federation of India for elite Cyclist
• Should be in possession of a MTB cycle as per specification of UCI.
• Elite riders, who have participated in a National/ State Championship/ other recognized races of CFI
• Local riders should obtain their rider license from CFI by application duly submitted on line.
• A qualifying race will be organized at Nainital on 7th April 2017 for final short listing of top 50 elite riders for the main event.
